【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtodifferentiate,inapreliminaryfashion,amongmaterialswithrespecttotheirresistancetoignitionbecauseoftheirproximitytoelectrically-heatedwiresandotherheatsources.Thistestmethodappliestomoldedorsheetmaterialsavailableinthicknessesrangingfrom0.25to6.4mm(0.010to0.25in.).Thistestmethodappliestomaterialsthatarerigidatnormalroomtemperatures.Thatis,itappliestomaterialsforwhichthespecimendoesnotdeformduringpreparation,especiallyduringthewire-wrappingstepdescribedin.Examplesofdeformationthatrenderthistestmethodinapplicableinclude:Bowing,ineitheratransverseoralongitudinaldirection,ortwistingofthespecimen,duringthewire-wrappingstep,toadegreevisibletotheeye.Visibleindentationofthewrappedwireintothespecimen.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.(SeeIEEE/ASTMSI-10forfurtherdetails.)Thistestmethodmeasuresanddescribestheresponseormaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Firetestinginvolveshazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Note1-AlthoughthistestmethodandIEC60695-2-20,differinapproachandindetail,dataobtainedusingeitheraretechnicallyequivalent.
