【摘要】:ThistestmethodisasafeandfastalternativefordeterminationoftheNoackevaporationlossofalubricant.Theevaporationlossofalubricantisimportantinthehotzonesofequipmentwhereevaporationofpartofthelubricantmayincreaselubricantconsumption.Somelubricantspecificationsciteamaximumallowableevaporativeloss.1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheprocedurefordeterminingtheNoackevaporationlossoflubricatingoilsusingathermogravimetricanalyzertest(TGA).ThetestmethodisapplicabletobasestocksandfullyformulatedlubricantoilshavingaNoackevaporativelossrangingfrom0to30mass%.Thisprocedurerequiresmuchsmallerspecimens,andisfasterwhenmultiplesamplesaresequentiallyanalyzed,andsaferthanthestandardNoackmethodusingWood'smetal.1.2TheevaporativelossdeterminedbythistestmethodisthesameasthatdeterminedusingthestandardNoacktestmethods.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
