【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodofdeterminingtheringstiffnessofbendsandbranchesmadefromthermoplasticmaterialandforusewithplasticspipeshavingacircularcross-section.Themethodcanbeusedtodeterminethestiffnessofbends,equalbranchesandunequalbranches,providedthatthefittingallowsaringdeflectionofatleast4%.Ifafittinghasthesamewallthickness,wallconstruction,materialanddiameterasapipebeingtested,then,becauseofitsgeometry,itsstiffnesswillbeequaltoorgreaterthanthatofthepipetested.Inthiscase,thefittingcanbeclassifiedashavingthesamestiffnessclassasthepipe,withouttesting.Anyunequalbranchmaybeexpectedtohaveatleastthesamestiffnessasanequalbranch,providedthatithasthesamemaindiameter,wallconstructionandmaterialastheequalbranch.NOTE—Theresultofthetestreflectstheresistancethefittinghasagainstdeflectionwheninstalled.AdviceonthesignificanceofthetestresultisgiveninannexA.
